Paul Birchall
I consider my self a multi disciplined artist working in a variety of media.

Born in England, I completed My studies in fine art at the Wimbeldon School of Art in London and further at Delhi School of Art in India. I initially studied photography, and have worked in print making, painting , ceramics and Music composition.

Before moving to Cape Town, I exhibited regularly in London and worked in the print making studios of London Contemporary Art fine art publishers.

Since settling in Cape Town in 2004, I have exhibited widely in South Africa and overseas.

I teach as a Partime lecturer in traditional painting at the Ruth Prowse school of Art.

In recent years I have been developing a multi faceted work called the Island in conjunction with two invitations as Artis In residence at WerkRaum Warteck In Basel

I am actively involved in teaching through my studio based in Woodstock Cape Town.

My work is in numerous private and public collections.

” I constantly work creatively. Working across a variety of disciplines keeps me moveing forward and stops me feeling static.”
